DAY
1: Arrive Manaus
Your first vision of Manaus will be an
impressive, wide expanse of river and the
city sprawling from its bank, a jewel box
of buildings from yesteryear. A local
guide will greet you at the airport for your
transfer to your luxury resort in a parklike
setting with beach in the heart of the Amazon
forest. TROPICAL

DAY 2: Manaus/Amazon
Jungle
Depart from Ceasa Port on a boat journey down river via the
famous Meeting of the Waters. Sailing from Manaus the river
widens and becomes wilder in character and you may start to hear
the chorus of birds reverberating from the jungle-lined river banks. Arrive
at your intimate eco-lodge and settle into your bungalow with mosquito
screens, a private bath with shower, and veranda with hammock,
where limited electric power (no hot water or a/c necessary in
this climate) is available from an alternative energy source. After
dinner set out on a caiman-spotting cruise amidst the forest's
evening sounds, a million small rustlings, pipings and sighs. AMAZON

DAY 3: Amazon Jungle/Rainforest
After a delicious breakfast featuring fresh tropical fruits
set out with your naturalist guide on a morning jungle trek. Return
for lunch and an afternoon piranha fishing trip and visit to a
native settlement. AMAZON

DAY 4: Amazon/Manaus
Enjoy a morning at leisure to bird-watch at the lake or hike
through the ferns and bromelaids in the green-filtered light. After
lunch, said back to Manaus. TROPICAL

Transfer to the airport for your flight to your next destination. (B)
