Chile's Innovative Explora Eco-Hotels

The Ultimate Experience of Torres del Paine National Park
With its monumental views of the Torres del Paine massif looming over Patagonian grasses, glacial lakes and steel-hued lagoons afloat with icebergs, this 30-room inn is the first luxury lodging within the National Park, offering a convenient alternative to the three-hour drive there from Puerto Natales.

Superbly equipped and experience-oriented
Whether you prefer solitude or the company of a small group, Explora's park outings are designed for you.  Daily guided explorations come in varying lengths and degrees of difficulty, but are designed for anyone of normal physical condition.  Explorations are done by boat, horseback, mountain bike, foot, or 4WD vehicles.  Many combine hikes through valleys, dense lenga forests or to within arm's reach of glaciers, with wildlife-viewing of guanaco, rhea, Andean deer, condor, and flamingos.  Other outings feature Indian caves with fossils and paintings, a Patagonian barbecue or ascents to superb mountain viewpoints.  Or simply relax and enjoy your hotel's many facilities.

A full complement of comforts and amenities
30 large guest rooms and suites feature Berber carpets over heated floors, granite bathrooms with tub or jacuzzi, plush imported linens and furnishings, and breathtaking views.  Facilities include a glass-walled dining room serving hearty, healthy meals and fine wines; a bar, hot tub, heated pool, sauna, massage, exercise room, shops, recreation room, library, room service, baby-sitting, laundry and business services.

Included in the programs are:

Round trip transfers between Punta Arenas airport and explora en Patagonia Accommodations.

Four meals per day, with wine, drinks or soft drinks.

Daily explorations in Parque Nacional Torres del Paine, (groups of up to 10 persons) with bilingual guides, and picnic.

Use of all hotel facilities and transportation for exploration, including saunas, heated lap pool, outdoor jacuzzis, horses, row-boats, bicycles, etc.
